Writing While Terrified as Hell

When your peers out-earn you, you want to keep this in the dark. When your wife out-earns you, it can create such a level of shame and frustration that you don’t want anyone to know.

Imagine a sailor who has sails out with no rudder in the water guiding him, but worst of all no map to plot his course. Ask him where he is going and any answer other than “I don’t know!?” is a flat-out lie.

Even in sales, most people don’t know their numbers. They don’t track them, because their numbers SUCK! Their numbers suck because they are not doing what they should be to be successful…Their activity is low because fear tends to grip them more than their needs do.

A big mistake I see people making is thinking, pondering, etc. You don’t outsmart fear. You outperform it.

Most people will kid themselves about how they are not afraid, and will attribute it to something else. I know I did for a very long time.

If I continued to make the same choices and do the same things, I would not stay the same, I would get worse. We like to think that if we do the same thing we will continue to get the same result. The world does not really work that way.
